Tell me what you want. To help me reproduce a replica of what you see in your minds eye you need to tell me everything. The more detail the better.

Then tell me what you really, really want. Any and all details you can provide regarding the provision, building, modelling and painting of your commission will result in a better piece of work.

Special Requests

Conversions and Unique Army Painting

I am always eager to take on a bit of a challenge, if you have ideas for conversions or painting, whether this is just for a single model, unit or the entire army I would be more than happy to discuss the endless possibilities available. Be prepared to give a budget for me to work within.

Showcase Models

Showcase standard models are charged entirely on a project basis. A price will be agreed up front, and if it takes longer than expected I won’t charge more than the original quote.

Scenery Commission

As my Gallery shows I also produce scenery to order, this is also worked out on a project basis so if you have any ideas and you would like to get an estimate, Contact Me.

Provision of Models

In a nutshell:

Will you supply the models built or would you like me to build them?

Will you want me to purchase the models and build them?

Final payment must be settled prior to the completed models being shipped.

Additional Bits

Pre-built Models Received

Make sure you are satisfied with them before you send them. If I believe they require additional cleaning in order to provide good painting service I will tell you and a small charge can be discussed.

Basic Assembly

You can assemble the models yourself, if so please make sure you are satisfied with them before you send them off, I am happy to do some minor cleaning but if the models are in a very poor state then I may need to negotiate a minor charge for the work. If you require me to do all the assembly work then that is not a problem, and there will be a small additional charge for this which will be negotiated with you at quotation stage.

If You Buy Your Own Models

You will be responsible for the costs of shipping them to me. I accept models shipped directly from a retailer. If you are sending the models to me you will receive an e-mail confirming I have received them as soon as they arrive. Alternatively I can purchase the models for you at an agreed price, for example, Games-Workshop online price plus any charge for delivery.

Cost

Check out the Price Guide to give you a rough idea. Contact Me to discuss your commission. Until we have agreed what will be undertaken there is no way to set an exact price.

Estimate

Once we have come to an agreement on how to proceed with your project I will provide you with an initial estimate based on this. This is the time to review and revise your request if necessary.

Once your are satisfied with your request I will be able to provide you with a final quotation with a full breakdown of costs

You will be under no obligation to proceed until you have a final quotation and the deposit has been received.

Turnaround

All going well your commission should be completed within a two to six weeks time frame from receipt of your models, but this is dependent on workload requested and standard required. As with everything communication is vital; if you have any special requirements regarding time frame let me know and an arrangement can be agreed. I will also be happy to give you an approximate time frame when discussing your estimate, however remember that the clock does not start ticking until your models are in my hand.

The Finished Product

Photos of the completed item will be sent for your final approval.

If everything is to your satisfaction you will have 30 days from the date the photos of the completed product were received to pay any remaining fees.

If you require alterations additional costs may or may not be required to cover level of alteration work requested.  Keep those lines of communication open!

Non receipt of remaining fees within the 30 day time frame without a suitable explanation will result in the product becoming the property of Custom Fish as payment.

Payment

A minimum requirement of 50% of the total cost will be required as a deposit. If I am purchasing the models for you I require the cost of the models plus 50% of the commission paid as deposit. This guarantees to both parties that a commitment has been made and the project will proceed as planned. We accept payment by; PayPal, bank transfer, cheque or cash. Details will be discussed when appropriate. For PayPal payments a small transaction fee will be required. I will e-mail you to confirm payment as soon as the money has been received.

Final payment must be settled prior to the completed models being shipped.

Shipping

Shipping costs will be included in the final quotation.

When Shipping Items To Me

The delivery address for items you send to me will be provided just prior to the commencement work.  Please ensure that all parts are itemised and bagged and that you are confident that you have packaged the items as securely as you can.  I am happy to undertake minor transit damage and would hope you would extend the same courtesy on receipt of your completed models.  If you are unsure how best to package your items get in contact with me, we can work something out.

When I Ship Items To You

I will do my best to ensure your items are as securely packaged as possible.  If damage does occur en route this should be taken up with the delivery company in the first instance but I will do all I can to remedy any unsatisfactory conditions of received items.
